Over 100 EU cities aim to be climate-neutral by 2030

BRUSSELS - The European Commission announced on Thursday that 112 cities in Europe will receive €360 million from the European Union’s (EU) key funding programme for research and innovation Horizon Europe in 2022 and 2023 to support projects that help these urban areas to become climate neutral by 2030.

Projects will be in the area of clean mobility, energy efficiency and green urban planning.

Nearly 400 cities have applied to be part of this project.
