Sydney - After almost two decades of political silence, and with elections looming, Australia's far right is making itself heard again. Reuters' Jonathan Barrett visited a small town outside Sydney, one of the typical regional centers where right wing groups have a captive audience.

One of thr hardline movement is the Australian Liberal Alliance set up last year by Kirralie Smith who called for a tenĀ  year ban on Muslim immigration before Donald Trump had a similar idea in the United States and their inspiration is the Dutch far-right politician Geert Wilders.
The popularity of the far-right parties in Europe and to a certain extent in the US has grown in recent months especially in European countries like Austria and The Netherlands.
