BEIJING - Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi is planning to visit four African countries week.
The visit will mark the continuation of a tradition in which Beijing’s foreign minister goes to Africa for their first overseas trip of the year.
Wang Yi will visit Egypt, Tunisia, Togo and Cote d’Ivoire from January 13 to 18.
His visit to Egypt will follow that of U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who met President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in Cairo for talks over the war between Israel and Hamas.
