Ethiopia and Tigray agreed to end conflict

PRETORIA - After two years of a brutal civil war, Ethiopia and rebel forces in the country’s Tigray region have agreed to end the conflict, mediators say.

The war, which began in November 2020, has led to widespread destruction and atrocities, left thousands dead or injured, displaced millions and put many on the verge of famine.
