EU mulls shoring up Rwanda armed forces in Mozambique

BRUSSELS - The European Union (EU) may spend up to €20 million in non-lethal weapons to help Rwanda's military operations in Mozambique.

The EU is also training Mozambique armed forces, which has courted Russia's Wagner group.

An internal paper dated 3 May from its foreign policy branch, the EEAS, bases the idea on the so-called European Peace Facility.
