DUBAI - Dubai has emerged as the most popular city break destinations of the world, revealed a study conducted by UK-based Premier Inn.
The win comes after travellers from over 21 countries searched for Dubai to “luxuriate in the glamour of Dubai’s lifestyle,” according to the report.
“Holidaymakers are wanting to travel to the United Arab Emirates the most. 21 out of the 136 countries we analysed showed Dubai as their top searched-for city break destination,” said the report conducted by Premier Inn,

Premier Inn conducted the study based on keyword data from Google, by analysing a total of 136 cities. The emirate has also surpassed popular cities such as Paris, Boston and Madrid, the study revealed.
The countries that want to visit the emirate include Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Uganda, Sierra Leone, the Gambia, Liberia, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Benin, India, Pakistan, Maldives, Azerbaijan, Seychelles, Mauritius, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Eritrea and South Africa.
The success adds on to Dubai’s ambitious vision of becoming the world’s most popular travel destination by 2025, in line with the Dubai Tourism Strategy.
The vision aims to attract over 25 million visitors in the same year, by placing the tourism industry as a key contributor to the emirate’s economy.
