NUR-SULTAN - Many refugees are crossing the Kazakhstan border into neighbouring Kyrgyzstan after clashes between two ethnic groups, reports say.
It is not yet known what sparked the violence, which pitted Kazakhs against Dungans, a Muslim group of Chinese origin.
An eyewitness in Kyrgyzstan told Reuters news agency he saw many people cross the border to meet relatives on the other side.
Authorities said dozens of people were initially involved in the clashes, but that number rose to 300 after calls were said to have gone out on social media.(FA)
