JOHANNESBURG - Unbelievable drone footage shows thousands of people lining up for food in Centurion, South Africa.

The queue stretched for almost two-and-a-half miles amid the country's lockdown measure due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Private businesses donated 8,000 food hampers, which were being distributed to residents.

The country has been in lockdown for five weeks restrictions, but some businesses are planning to open on May 1.

More than 5,000 people have contracted the virus in South Africa and just over 100 people have died.
